We're now less than two weeks away from WrestleMania, and there have been some big developments for the Show of Shows over the past 24 hours. During last night's episode of RAW, Omos kept his undefeated streak intact when he managed to beat Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez in a Handicap match (unfortunately for those two, it was basically a squash match).
After the bell was rung, Omos got on the mic to issue an open challenge for WrestleMania, and Fightful Select is now reporting that he'll face former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Lashley has been sidelined since Elimination Chamber and was quickly removed from that match to hide the fact he's been dealing with a shoulder injury. Rumour had it Lashley might need surgery, but that's clearly not the case and it's said he's been training hard and is ready to face Omos in Dallas. Whether that's the best use of him is up for debate, but we're certainly intrigued.
In other news, Seth Rollins once again failed to earn a spot at WrestleMania when AJ Styles defeated him (meaning the Phenomenal One will face Edge as planned). With that, Rollins trashed the ringside area and made it clear he won't allow next week's RAW to begin until he's given his WrestleMania moment; all the while, fans in the building chanted for former AEW star Cody Rhodes.
While speculation is running rampant that Cody will return to WWE next Monday, it's being widely reported that the current plan is for Rhodes to not appear until WrestleMania. Like when The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE a few years ago at the Showcase of the Immortals and fans blew the roof off the building, it seems the hope is to get the biggest pop possible for the one-time AEW EVP.
