Pete Dunne Announced For JOSH BARNETT'S BLOODSPORT

Another WWE star is added to Bloodsport XIII.

This year’s show is scheduled for Las Vegas the week of WrestleMania. Thus far, Tom Lawlor, Miyu Yamashita, Tim Thatcher, Simon Gotch, David Modzmanashvili, and Natalya Heidhart have been confirmed for the upcoming show.

It was already shocking that the former WWE Women’s Champion was taking part in the annual event, but former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne is another unexpected name.

Dunne has a rich history on the independent scene. Before his WWE career started in 2017, the 31-year-old wrestled everywhere in the United Kingdom including PROGRESS Wrestling, FIGHT CLUB: PRO, and DEFY Wrestling. However, Dunne has done plenty of shows outside of the UK scene since he made his pro debut in 2008.

Currently, the former WWE Tag Team Champion is on the RAW brand and was recently entangled in a feud with Penta and Ludwig Kaiser. This is Dunne’s first Bloodsport event, but given his style, the WWE star will feel right at home when he wrestles for the promotion on April 17th. There’s some potentially fun matches that Dunne can have at Bloodsport. Given the list of names so far, Dunne vs. Thatcher or Lawlor has the strongest potential to be excellent matches.

For those who don’t follow the unique format, Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddle’s name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.

We’re just a little over a month away from the annual Bloodsport show and the growing list of names shows signs of a good show. There’s still no confirmed matches for the event, but the show still is a little less than a month away so it’s not a concerning thing. Below are the confirmed names for Bloodsport XIII:
