Earlier this week, WWE announced plans to bring a number of NXT Superstars to the main roster including Lars Sullivan, Nikki Cross, and EC3. While it was a solid enough list, a number of big names were missing and now Dave Meltzer has shed some light on why at least one person wasn't among them.
Apparently, Aleister Black's name was indeed originally on a list of names to be called up to either RAW or SmackDown Live but that's now been delayed, presumably due to WWE's brand new era.
Don't worry too much, though, because it's said that there's a very good chance he'll be coming soon (the night after WrestleMania seems like a safe bet but that's just speculation for the time being). Black is scheduled to face Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship at TakeOver: Phoenix on January 26th.
