Matt Cappotelli's recent death has hit people in the wrestling industry hard, especially as he was known as a great person who made a lot of friends after competing in Tough Enough and briefly working in WWE. It's even been said that those within the company believed he could have been a huge John Cena-level star had he not been diagnosed with cancer, a condition he spent over a decade battling.

Now, according to Mike Johnson, there's already been
talk of Cappotelli being given the Warrior Award at next year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in New York City. It's said that there are a lot of people in the company who would like to see this happen and while nothing is confirmed at this point, the good work he did and battles he went through make him more than deserving of receiving it in 2019.

We'll obviously have to wait and see but expect to hear something official early next year. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to The Ring Report for additional updates as and when we have them.
