Possible Reason For Why WWE Is Considering Splitting Up Rusev And Aiden English Revealed

Tuesday's SmackDown Live made it clear that big changes are on the way for Rusev and that a split with Aiden English is now in the works. Lana pointed out to the popular Superstar that English is holding him back, something he seemingly took on board based on what we saw on the show.

So, what's led WWE to think about splitting this team up when Aiden does such a great job of building heat for Rusev when he makes his entrance? According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is thinking about pairing Rusev with Lana again and the company simply has a lack of faith in English as a performer and don't like the way he looks. He's a mid-carder who is good at getting fans to laugh and boo.

Rusev, on the other hand, appears to be a Superstar the company finally has faith in as a main eventer and they no longer want to have him part of a losing mid-card tag team. Whether or not this means Rusev is finally going to get a push remains to be seen as does what would come next for English.
