Mike Kanellis, AKA Mike Bennett, debuted at the Money in the Bank PPV to minimal fanfare, with a somewhat bizarre (yes, their theme-song is still awesome) "loved-up" gimmick along with his wife, Maria. Since then, the pair have had a few brief TV appearances but haven't been pushed in any kind of significant angles.

Mike has been very open about his recent problems with prescription medication addiction, and many assumed this may have contributed to the lack of a push - however, according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the main reason Kanellis hasn't been utilised on television is simply because he hasn't impressed the higher ups with his in-ring performances thus far.

This gels with a previous report we heard about the WWE being unhappy with the shape Mike was in when he debuted.

Whatever the reason, let's hope things change because both Mike and Maria have huge potential as anyone who followed their ROH careers can attest to.
