It looks like Edge and Randy Orton are set to do battle again at the Backlash pay-per-view, but this time there won't be any steel chairs involved.
The Rated-R Superstar made his way out to the ring for the final segment of Raw this week, and addressed his brutal Last Man Standing Match with The Viper at WrestleMania. Edge said that as far as he was concerned, the feud has been put to bed and he's ready to move on. Upon hearing this, Orton joined him in the ring and said that while the best man won at 'Mania, he best wrestler did not.
Randy inferred that Edge was only able to win because he had access to weapons, before laying down the challenge for a normal, no frills or gimmicks wrestling match at Backlash. Edge didn't accept, but Charly Caruso then bizarrely stated that if he does, we're going to see the "greatest wrestling match of all time." This was obviously something she was told to say, and it just sounded forced. Chances are this is how their match is going to be built up heading into next month's PPV.
What do you guys think? Glad we're getting another match out of this or should 'Mania have been the end of it?
