SmackDown Live was supposed to be main evented by The Revival vs. The New Day but that became a six man tag team match when Randy Orton got involved and it was the heels who stood tall at the end of the night.

Last night's SmackDown Live should have been headlined by SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day taking on The Revival but before the match could begin, Randy Orton made his presence felt. He claimed that WWE Champion Kofi Kingston can't beat him and requested to join the bout and make it a six man tag team match. 

As you can see below, Orton and The Revival managed to defeat the babyfaces after the heel tag team hit a Shatter Machine on Xavier Woods.

After the match, Orton and his new associates beat down the beloved trio and RKOs were delivered to each member of The New Day. As a result, the show went off the air with The Viper standing tall and it's clear that things really aren't over between him and Kingston after SummerSlam...
