Randy Orton Could Be Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship Opponent At SUMMERSLAM

On last night's SmackDown Live, Randy Orton managed to pin WWE Champion Kofi Kingston in a six man tag team match and it now appears as if he's being lined up to face The New Day member at SummerSlam.

Daniel Bryan never got to make his "career altering" announcement on SmackDown Live last night and The new Day instead accepted a SmackDown Tag Team Championship rematch on the spot.

Shortly after that, Samoa Joe, Elias, and Randy Orton all appeared on the stage to make their case for a shot at Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship and a six man tag team match was booked pitting those three against The New Day.

In the end, though, it was Orton who got the win when he hit an RKO on Kingston for the 1-2-3.

Now, it seems like he's the most likely candidate to challenge the current WWE Champion for the title at SummerSlam and, well, that's not exactly a particularly fresh match! What do you guys think?
