Well, we can finally put those rumours about Randy Orton moving to All Elite Wrestling to rest! During last night's episode of WWE Backstage, it was confirmed that The Viper has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE after his current 10-year contract expires a few months from now.

It appears Orton has been having fun trolling fans about a possible move to AEW but it's also entirely feasible that he used those social media posts as a negotiating tactic with the company he calls home. Bear in mind that the former WWE Champion has been with WWE since 2001 (he made his RAW debut in 2002) so it was always hard to imagine him heading elsewhere.

After the news broke, Orton took to Twitter to confirm that he's signed a five-year deal, something which will keep him on our screens until 2024. At 39, you have to believe this could be his final run in WWE so it will be interesting seeing what comes next for him.
