Tonight on WWE SmackDown Live, The Viper Randy Orton qualified for the WWE World Cup Tournament to be held at Crown Jewel in Riyadh Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. Randy earned this opportunity by defeating the Big Show. This falls in line with Randy's pattern of taking down the legends of WWE. Big Show is clearly a fan favorite and has been for many years and even though Big Show hasn't appeared in a major WWE televised match since his cage match with Braun Strowman last year, the giant definitely came to play and is looking more sleek and athletic than ever before. It will be interesting to see where he fits in the Crown Jewel and these WWE super shows going forward.
As for The Viper, he gets yet another opportunity to take down some WWE Legends at Crown Jewel when he joins the fray for this star-studded tournament that already includes the likes of John Cena, Jeff Hardy, and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. All of these men have an extended history with Randy Orton and these Saudi Arabian super shows certainly like to play on the history of WWE and they're going to get plenty of it with these tournament pairings it seems. Randy Orton definitely has to be considered a favorite right now to win this first ever tournament.
