Randy Orton Will Challenge Drew McIntyre For The WWE Championship At SUMMERSLAM

Randy Orton challenged Drew McIntyre to a match at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship last night on Raw, and the Scottish Psychopath gladly accepted. Will The Viper add another title reign to his resume?

Confirming recent rumors, Randy Orton was revealed as the next challenger for Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship on Raw last night.

The Viper opened the show by running down his accomplishments and announcing that he wants to add yet another title reign to his long list of accolades. He said he respects McIntyre for all he's done since returning to WWE, but now he has something he wants, and he's coming for his title at SummerSlam.

Drew officially accepted Randy's challenge before taking on Dolph Ziggler in another Extreme Rules match (The Scotsman got to pick the stipulation this time... not very inventive is he?) in the main event, and after he won with a Claymore through a table, Orton was waiting with that inevitable RKO outta nowhere.

Unlike the rest of McIntyre's challengers post-Lesnar, Orton actually stands a chance of defeating him. The Legend Killer has been on fire recently, cutting the best promos of his life and stepping his ring-work up (not that Orton hasn't always been great, but he doesn't always bother showing it!) massively, too.

Randy is definitely the top heel in WWE right now, so if anyone was going to beat Drew for the title, it'd be him.
