Ahead of Tuesday's SmackDown Live, WWE advertised a number of main events, all of which were changed due to Vince McMahon deciding to rewrite the show at the last minute. Now, it's been revealed that even with the champion vs. champion main event of WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. United States Champion AJ Styles, viewership still dropped by 11.6%.
Whereas last Tuesday's episode did 2.162 million viewers, this week's effort managed just 1.911 viewers.
WWE announced a Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Balor match and "King's Court" segment featuring Jerry "The King" Lawler and Trish Stratus in advance. Ultimately, it seems as if CNN's coverage of the Presidential Democratic Debate is what hurt SmackDown Live but it's worth noting that RAW ratings also fell without the boost of the "Reunion" episode.
