Gronk's WWE debut is probably going to be remembered as one of the worst segments on SmackDown for quite some time to come, but Friday's show was still entertaining, and featured some decent matches and segments.
The episode managed to draw an average of 2.563 million viewers, a very slight drop from last week's 2.588 million viewers. The fall is minimal, so there's clearly still interest in WWE despite the shows hailing from the empty WWE Performance Center (and the fact WWE is airing old matches during both RAW and SmackDown).
SmackDown managed to pull in 2.637 million viewers during hour one, and dropped to 2.488 million in hour two.
The show did a 0.75 rating in the 18 - 49 demographic, and the blue brand was #8 for the night in terms of viewership. WWE has taped the next couple of episodes in advance, but they took place on closed sets, so it's highly unlikely that any spoilers will find their way online.
What did you guys think of Friday's SmackDown?
