This week's episode of SmackDown Live was forced to deal with the fallout from the underwhelming Greatest Royal Rumble event and build Sunday's rushed Backlash PPV so the fact the show suffered a dip in ratings probably won't surprise you. There was a lot of good content to enjoy, including Samoa Joe's confrontation with AJ Styles but the main event was something of an underwhelming affair.

As a result, SmackDown Live managed to draw 2,436,000 million viewers, a dip from last Tuesday's 2,549,000 viewers. That's not a huge drop but it is still bound to be disappointing for WWE.

Should Shinsuke Nakamura manage to become WWE Champion, that would definitely increase interest in the show while there are a few other storylines which could do with intensifying moving
forward. Are you guys excited for Backlash on Sunday? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
