Ratings For SMACKDOWN LIVE Increased As John Cena Finally Returned To The Blue Brand

SmackDown Live ratings have been on the decline since the New Year but after a small increase last week, it appears as if the Tuesday night show may be back on the right track as John Cena made his return.

SmackDown Live has been coming under fire for weeks now, with many pointing to underwhelming matches and storylines being the cause of declining ratings. However, with the show firmly on the Road to WrestleMania and Fastlane right around the corner, it appears as if the interest of fans is increasing as the show received a small boost this week in terms of viewership on the USA Network.

While last week's edition did 2,613,000 viewers, this Tuesday's show increased to 2,692,000 viewers. That's not the biggest rise in the world but it's much-needed after weeks of underwhelming numbers.

It's no surprise that interest is starting to increase in SmackDown Live, though, especially as John Cena is now part of the blue brand. Throw in the fact that rumours are swirling that he'll face either The Undertaker or Rey Mysterio at the Showcase of the Immortals, and his road there should be a lot of fun to follow and will bring more eyes to the show.
