RAW Featured A Surprise Title Change As Stage Is Set For Yet Another Big Clash At SUMMERSLAM

Last night's episode of RAW featured a major title change and, with that, the stage has been set for another big match to be added to SummerSlam in the weeks ahead. Find more details after the jump...

Prior to her disappearance from TV (believed to be the result of an undisclosed injury or medical issue), Carmella was clearly being eyed for a tag team run with Sonya Deville. Ultimately, that role went to Chelsea Green, allowing her to shine on RAW every week.

Since then, we've seen Deville and Green take aim at the Women's Tag Team Championships and they faced Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the titles during last night's RAW

Before the match, Rodriguez was attacked backstage by Women's Undisputed Champion Rhea Ripley but later insisted she could still compete.

During the match, Deville targeted Rodriguez's leg and after two Unpretty-Hers from Green, she hit Morgan with a running knee for the 1-2-3. With that, we got new Women's Tag Team Champions, while the stage was potentially set for a big SummerSlam match.

In RAW's main event, Morgan attacked Ripley but we believe the plan is for Rodriguez to battle her old NXT rival at the upcoming PLE.

That should be an exciting bout and likely to further cement Ripley as one of WWE's top heels and female Superstars. As for how Morgan will factor into the match, it's hard to say right now.

In other news, @WrestleVotes is reporting that, "There is a feeling of optimism from the company around the new Women’s Tag Champs in Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, with hopes the two can 'stabilize' the tag titles with a substantial run as champions."
