RAW General Manager Kurt Angle Has Promised That The Shield Will Reform... Eventually
Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns recently reformed The Shield, but persistent injuries ensured their comeback was cut short. However, Raw GM Kurt Angle promises that The Hounds of Justice will return.
The Shield has had nothing but bad luck since reforming late last year, with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose both suffering from illness/injuries that kept them out of action for a significant amount of time.
Because of this, fans have been very worried that WWE might give up on the faction's comeback, but Raw GM Kurt Angle says the Hounds of Justice will return to action at some point.
Here's what the WWE Hall of Famer had to say when asked about the possibilty of the group during a Facebook Q&A:
“The Shield has been dealing with a lot of setbacks and injuries. But they will unite again. Be patient”
Angle isn't actually the General manager of RAW, of course, so we shouldn't treat this as official confirmation that the trio will reform. Still, one would assume that Kurt wouldn't respond so positively if he wasn't confident that Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns will eventually get the band back together.
Let's hope The Lunatic Fringe has recovered in time for WrestleMania.
