RAW Goes Off The Air With Drew McIntyre At The Mercy Of BACKLASH Opponent Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley will face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Backlash, and the Almighty One gained some momentum last night on Raw by locking the champ into a Full Nelson after his match with MVP.

To say Drew McIntyre has been a dominant WWE Champion ever since he defeated Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania would be an understatement, but he may have met his match (from a sheer power perspective, at least) in Bobby Lashley.

The Scottish Superstar (they've officially dropped Scottish Psychopath... ah well) went one-on-one with MVP in the main event of Raw, and although that match ended exactly how you'd expect (a Claymore and a three-count), Lashley then rushed the ring and locked his Full Nelson on McIntyre.

Drew struggled to break the hold, but when the show went off the air he was fading to the ground. Perhaps tellingly, we didn't actually get to see the champ in too vulnerable a position (he's gotta look strong at all times, dammit!), but it is the most exposed he's looked since winning the title.

We don't really expect Lashley to win at Backlash, but let's hope it's a good enough match to keep him in and around the main event picture, because we want to see that match with Brock Lesnar!
