RAW Ratings Dipped Slightly This Week Despite Stephanie McMahon's Historic Announcement

WWE may have hyped a historic announcement for this week's RAW before it aired but it appears as if that wasn't quite enough to give the show a significant ratings boost. However, numbers weren't too bad...

This Monday's episode of RAW drew a total of 2,779,000 viewers. That's down from last week's 2,866,000 viewers but is still a solid number, especially as the show reached record lows before Extreme Rules. The first hour averaged 2,817,000 viewers, hour two drew 2,821,000 viewers, and the final hour suffered only a relatively minor dip with a decent enough total of 2,701,000 viewers.

You'd think RAW would have topped the 3 million mark seeing as WWE had hyped a historic announcement beforehand but anyone with an internet connection would have been well aware that Stephanie McMahon was probably going to reveal plans for an all-female PPV this fall. It was obviously great when that's what the big reveal from her was but it wasn't a massive surprise in all honesty.

Regardless, numbers will no doubt increase next Monday when Brock Lesnar finally makes his return and confronts Roman Reigns. What did you think of the show this week? Sound off below.
