RAW Ratings Fell This Week Despite The Miz's Return And Braun Strowman's Rampage

Ratings for RAW fell this week despite the fact that The Miz made his long overdue return and Braun Strowman went on a (murderous?) rampage. Hit the jump to find out the latest figures for the show...

This week's episode of RAW drew a total of 2,759,000 million viewers, a drop from last Monday's 2,865,000 million viewers. That's a pretty significant drop but it could be explained by the fact the show was pitted against the national championship college football game on ESPN that drew 27,383,000 viewers (this is always a pretty bad time of year for the company in all fairness). 

Hour one averaged 2,993,000 viewers, hour two drew 2,784,000 viewers, and the final hour of the show averaged 2,502,000 viewers. As you can see, none of the hours surpassed 3 million viewers.

It will now be interesting seeing if SmackDown Live is able to top RAW and how WWE will respond to this. This week's show was pretty big with Braun Strowman's attack on Kane and Brock Lesnar, The Miz's return, and a big main event match but that clearly wasn't enough. In the past, Vince McMahon has responded to low ratings with some big changes so we'll have to wait and see...
