WWE has found itself in a strange position this month as they've had to build to both the Greatest Royal Rumble event and the Backlash PPV, the first in quite some time to feature Superstars from RAW and SmackDown Live. Unfortunately, that's led to an underwhelming build to both shows and while RAW had its moments this week, it definitely wasn't the strongest episode we've seen recently.
In total, this Monday's instalment drew a total of 3,066,000 viewers. That's down from last week's 3,104,000 million viewers and while it's by no means a huge drop, it's not exactly the best result.
Hour one averaged 3,136,000 viewers, hour two drew 3,184,000 viewers, and the final hour of the show averaged 2,878,000 viewers. Whether or not WWE will now up its game following Backlash remains to be seen but considering the fact there's so much intrigue surrounding what comes next for Brock Lesnar and the Universal Championship, things could start getting better for the flagship show.
