At Crown Jewel on Saturday, Seth Rollins successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship with a clean win over Drew McIntyre. Thanks to Sami Zayn, the Visionary didn't need to worry about an attempted cash-in attempt from Damian Priest, and he asked Zayn to come out to the ring at the start of RAW last night.
Rollins gave the former Undisputed Tag Team Champion a shot at his title in the main event and the match, while brief, was a lot of fun. Ultimately, though, Rollins was again able to keep hold of his title after rolling his opponent up for the 1-2-3.
They shook hands after the bell rang, but it was then The Judgement Day attacked!
Rollins attempted to help fend them off, and both Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes soon made their way out to also fight Priest, Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominick Mysterio, and JD McDonagh. As the brawl continued, Adam Pearce made his way out to the ring to share the shocking announcement that all eight men will square off at Survivor Series in a WarGames match!
Triple H is a huge fan of the concept and first brought it back in NXT. It's now become a staple of Survivor Series and this sounds like it has all the makings of an epic clash.
Last year, The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) defeated Team Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens) by pinfall, but the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion isn't expected to return now until late 2023/early 2024.
We're guessing a women's WarGames match will also be added to the card, though it was confirmed during RAW that Rhea Ripley will defend the Women's World Championship against Zoey Stark at the PLE.
