Elias started off as a heel but his popularity made a babyface turn feel like the most natural thing possible. Before that, though, he clashed with John Cena on a number of occasions both on RAW and even at WrestleMania! Now, in an in-character interview, Elias has talked more about why he's clashed with the leader of the Cenation and it sounds like he hopes that things aren't over between them.

"John Cena has been a thorn in my side almost my entire career. It seems like every big event, whatever it may be, he seems to pop up and make life tough for Elias. It probably comes down to jealousy. There are a lot of similarities in our careers: the music, the crowd (reactions), things like that. But the difference is our mentalities. He’s got the ‘never give up’ mentality. It’s a very self-involved mentality. Whereas, I’m saying, ‘Walk with Elias. I’ll take care of you.’ It’s just clashing philosophies."

The last time these two shared an event, it was at the Super Show-Down event in Australia when Cena teamed up with Bobby Lashley to square off with Elias and Kevin Owens. Since Cena returned to RAW, these two haven't crossed paths and it will be interesting seeing whether or not that happens and where their relationship goes from here. What do you guys think?
