There was some good news for WWE in terms of ratings this week as RAW viewership increased from the previous Monday...barely. According to Showbuzz Daily, the episode drew an average of 1.722 million viewers on the USA Network, a very slight increase from the 1.714 million viewers who tuned in seven days earlier.
WWE is desperately trying to build its audience back up with the Retribution storyline, while RAW Underground is also supposed to be a big draw in the third hour. Thus far, that's not actually the case.
Hour one drew 1.811 million viewers compared to last week's 1.710 million viewers, hour two drew 1.754 million viewers compared to last week's 1.824 million viewers, and the final hour dropped to 1.601 million viewers compared to last week's 1.610 million viewers.
That last hour drop isn't good, and while it was somewhat steady compared to the previous week, it doesn't exactly signal a lot of interest in those third hour RAW Underground segments. The final hour also included Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens and Asuka vs. Bayley.
Interestingly, All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite actually beat this week's RAW in terms of the key 18 - 34 demographic, something many believe matters more than viewership figures...
