There's a lot of excitement surrounding the news that 18 year old Simone Johnson has signed with WWE. Usually, the company doesn't hire anyone under the age of 21 but they clearly see something special in Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's daughter, and fans now can't wait to see her on TV.
During an event to promote next year's
WrestleMania,
RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch was asked to share her thoughts on the news and after praising the up and coming wrestler, The Man made it clear that she doesn't think Simone should be borrowing the People's Elbow from her dad!
"I think maybe there will be a chance for it, but I think it’ll be good for her to try and make her own way. Don’t rely on the past, don’t rely on what got other people over. Try to make something new for yourself. I think there’s merit in that. I would like her to be seen as the athlete and performer on her own right, and not have her constantly compared to her dad."
Lynch also joked about facing her one day, stating, "I'll still be holding onto this whenever she’s ready, in 5 years from here."
