Xavier Woods took part in perhaps the biggest match of his career during last night's episode of RAW when he was given the opportunity to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship inside a Hell in a Cell.

Woods immediately took the fight to Lashley, taking the All Mighty by surprise. Weapons soon started factoring into proceedings, and the WWE Champion took more brutal chair and kendo stick shots just 24 hours after going to war with Drew McIntyre at the Hell in a Cell PPV.

The New Day member pulled out all the stops in an effort to secure the win, including a diving elbow through a table. Unfortunately, Lashley would still manage to overpower his opponent, locking in the Hurt Lock for the submission victory. With Kofi Kingston locked outside the cage, he had no other choice than to look on as the champion continued to punish Woods.

Later, WWE announced two big matches for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV: Kofi Kingston will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, while Charlotte Flair will get yet another shot at Rhea Ripley's RAW Women's Championship.
