Although it was strongly rumored for several weeks, the official announcement of an all-female Royal Rumble match reportedly came as a surprise to the ladies of RAW.
According to ProWrestlingSheet.com, only a handful of people backstage were given a heads up, so those overjoyed reactions from the women in the ring after Stephanie McMahon dropped the news this past Monday were genuine.
So far, the only confirmed entrant is SmackDown LIVE's Naomi, but you can bet we'll be seeing pretty much all of the female Superstars from both shows - as well as a few surprises - take part in the history-making match.
