RAW's Renee Young Opens Up About Dean Ambrose Almost Dying While He Was Out Of Action
Recently, Raw Superstar and Shield member Dean Ambrose revealed that he almost died from an infection after surgery on his shoulder. Now, his wife Renee Young has elaborated on what happened. Check it out...
Dean Ambrose made his return to Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago to reunite with his Shield brothers after being out of action for several months with a bad shoulder injury.
As it turns out, though, that wasn't what kept him on the shelf for so long.
The Lunatic Fringe recently revealed that he got a staff infection after his successful surgery, and actually almost died as a result. Now, his other half, Renee Young, elaborates on the scary situation while chatting to Jim Ross on The Ross Report.
I remember him calling me New Year’s Day, we had a show in Miami [Florida]. RAW was in Miami and his arm was bleeding everywhere. He woke up and there was blood all over the bed and he was so confused by what happened, not being able to fully get a look at what happened to his arm. So he eventually had to go back to Birmingham [Alabama], which is where he had his surgery initially, just for a check in, and that’s when they realized his infection had escalated a lot. They had to go back in and clean it out.
He was on antibiotics for months! It was really scary, just knowing the severity. It was really tough to see somebody that you love go through something like that, especially somebody like Dean who is this indestructible force and to see him down and out with something like that, it was… yeah, it was tough to go through.”
Thankfully, Dean made a full recovery and is now tearing it up with the other Hounds of Justice. Could that heel turn be imminent? We'll just have to wait and see!
