RAW's Season Premiere Featuring A Shocking Title Change, A Match Of The Year Contender, And A Teased Heel Turn

Last night's episode of RAW was billed as the "season premiere," and the show featured a shocking title change, a legit match of the year candidate, and more build to both Crown Jewel and Survivor Series.

Last night was the season premiere of RAW and the show definitely gave this past Friday's SmackDown a run for its money. Sami Zayn kicked things off to discuss Kevin Owen's shock move to the blue brand and made it clear he's now setting his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Judgement Day attempted to take him out, only to be chased off by "Main Event" Jey Uso. Backstage, Sami admitted he's having a hard time with the fact it's Jey's fault that Owens is now on SmackDown but the two old friends quickly managed to put their differences aside.

Elsewhere in the show, Seth Rollins called out Drew McIntyre for what proved to be a tense exchange before their title match at Crown Jewel. The latter is clearly on the verge of turning heel and refused to comment on his backstage meeting with Rhea Ripley during last week's show.

Gunther later defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bronson Reed in a potential match of the year candidate which saw the Austrian once again retain his title.

We also learned that Rhea Ripley will have to defend her Women's World Championship against Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, and Nia Jax at Crown Jewel as five of WWE's most badass female Superstars all square off at the same time.

In the main event, RAW was headlined by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso putting the Undisputed Tag Team Championships on the line against Judgement Day members Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

There was heaps of interference but, just when it looked like the babyfaces were going to prevail, Jimmy Uso appeared and superkicked his twin brother to cost him and Rhodes the win. With that, Balor scored the win and The Judgement Day once again got their hands on the titles!
