Reason Eva Marie Has Been Written Off WWE Television Finally Revealed

During an episode of RAW last month, Eva Marie became the latest Superstar to be attacked by Shayna Baszler. With WWE trying to get fans to take the former MMA star as a serious threat after months of bad booking, Eva and a number of other Superstars were written off television with a storyline injury.

Now, we have an explanation for her absence. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Eva has been written off TV "because she’s working on a movie for a while."

The last update on WWE.com claimed that Eva was being treated for a possible dislocation of her elbow, and we speculated at the time she might be taking some time off to shoot a movie or something similar. Eva hasn't really brought much to RAW since returning, and also hasn't been put into the main event slot many expected after weeks of promos hyping up her WWE re-debut.

We're not sure when Eva will return as Meltzer makes no mention of how long she'll be sidelined.

When she does come back, it will be interesting seeing what WWE does with her. Eva's feuds with Alexa Bliss and Doudrop didn't make much of an impact with fans, so fingers crossed the booking improves!
