All the signs appeared to be pointing to Becky Lynch making her return at WrestleMania earlier this year. The day before the show took place, it was widely reported that the plan was for "The Man" to take part in an interview segment with Bayley where Lynch would have surprised fans by driving a massive truck into the stadium.
Lynch had even teased making her return, so when it didn't happen...well, let's just say that fans weren't best pleased to see Bayley interviewing The Bella Twins instead!
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer explains that the reason Lynch wasn't used at WrestleMania was because WWE was "waiting for her to sign a new deal, which is now in effect, and because they felt it was too early to debut her before she would be back wrestling."
That deal was signed in May, and Meltzer adds that fans should expect Lynch to return "relatively soon."
We'd guess that will take place when fans finally return to shows next month, and it was recently reported that the former RAW Women's Champion has been spotted training in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida after taking time off to have her and Seth Rollins' first child.
