Reason For Sasha Banks' Lengthy WWE Absence Revealed Following Her Big Heel Turn On SMACKDOWN Last Night

Sasha Banks made her return to WWE last night and turned heel in a big way, but why has The Boss been absent from SmackDown for such a long time? Well, we have some backstage news you can find here...

During last night's episode of SmackDown, Sasha Banks finally returned to the blue brand and helped Women's Champion Bianca Belair fend off an attack from Carmella and Zelina Vega.

That led to a tag team match later in the night which Banks won when she forced Carmella to tap out. As she and Belair celebrated their win, Sasha hit her partner with her trademark backstabber and then locked her in the Banks Statement. Now, it looks like WWE is setting the stage for a match between the two women at SummerSlam next month. 

Now, thanks to PWInsider.com, we know why Banks has been absent from WWE for such a long time. 

The site explains that The Boss has been gone because she's been shooting Disney+ series The Mandalorian. She plays Koska Reeves in that and will clearly be back for the show's highly anticipated third season.
