Now that the WWE Network exists, wrestling fans in the UK are unable to figure out why a PPV isn't held on that side of the pond. After all, it's one of the company's biggest markets outside of the US and the only country they visit twice a year for televised events RAW and SmackDown Live. As a result, reports of a PPV in Glasgow, Scotland last week got fans extremely excited.
Unfortunately, it's now been confirmed that it won't be happening. The Tweet those reports came from were based on information from someone who claims to be a reliable source of information but thought it would be funny to crack a joke and get fans excited. As a result, it seems we can forget about a PPV hailing from the UK for the time being but that could still change...one day.
When that will be is hard to say but Triple H recently told fans at a recent WWE Live event that they need to make their voices heard if WrestleMania is ever going to hail from the UK.
