Rey Mysterio Addresses Rumors That He's Set To Make An Appearance At WRESTLEMANIA 34 Next Month
There have been several different rumors claiming Rey Mysterio has been booked for a match at WrestleMania, but during a new interview, the masked man himself seems to shoot down any chance of an appearance.
We recently reported on a rumor that reckoned none other than Rey Mysterio would be Braun Strowman's tag-team partner for his upcoming title match against Sheamus and Cesaro at WrestleMania, but if that is the current plan, The Luchador is playing very coy about it.
While appearing on Below The Belt with Brendan Schaub, Mysterio was asked directly about the rumors that he's set for a match on the Grandest Stage of The All, and responded with the following:
"Unfortunately, I just suffered a torn bicep three weeks ago. Opted not to get surgery. It’s a full tear but I’m just gonna kick back, do some therapy for it and hopefully I’ll be ready next month.”
There's always a slim chance Rey is trying to keep his 'Mania spot under wraps, but we do know that his injury is legit, so it's a safe enough bet he's on the level here.
Disappointing? Sure, but Rey has already confirmed that he will return to WWE... eventually.
