Rey Mysterio and Andrade have been feuding for months and it appeared as if WWE was building to them squaring off at WrestleMania. However, this week's SmackDown Live saw Mysterio reveal that he will face Samoa Joe for the United States Championship at the Showcase of the Immortals.

A lot of fans were disappointed by the news and, well, this is unlikely to make you feel any better.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan was indeed for Mysterio to square off with Andrade and the stipulation would have been a Hair vs. Mask match! There's no word on why it was scrapped but it may have something to do with Vince McMahon not wanting Andrade to lose his hair (plus, it may have been predictable as Mysterio would never lose his mask).
