Rey Mysterio appeared at both the Royal Rumble and Greatest Royal Rumble PPVs but it appears as if he's no closer to signing a WWE contract. However, that could be about to change because it's now been confirmed that the former WWE Champion will be the special pre-order bonus Superstar in WWE 2K19 this fall. A very cool new commercial promoting that can be seen below.
Something wrestling fans will be eager to know is whether or not this means Mysterio is gearing up to return to the company on a full-time basis. Previous pre-order Superstars like Kurt Angle and Goldberg have done just that and ended up being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, so there's a very good chance we know what comes next for Mysterio. Time will tell on that front, though.
