During tonight's episode of SmackDown, WWE officially announced the first inductee into the Hall of Fame Class of 2023, and we're sure you'll agree that they are more than deserving of the honor.

Considered by many to be the greatest Luchador of all time, the legendary Rey Mysterio will become one of the few Hall of Famer's who's inducted while they are still working as an in-ring competitor.

Mick Foley revealed that he'd been asked to induct an unknown individual earlier today, but Rey's long-time friend Konnan will be the one to welcome the multi-time champion unto the HOF.

The 2023 Hall of Fame ceremony will be held Friday, March 31 (the night before WrestleMania begins), at Crypto.com Arena after the live edition of Friday Night Smackdown.
