Rey Mysterio Pulled From Upcoming Indy Event Due To "Contractual Situation" With WWE

Rey Mysterio has made a couple of appearances for WWE this year and it now appears as if those ongoing contractual negotiations have finally taken a good turn. While the former World Heavyweight Champion was supposed to appear at an upcoming Northeast Wrestling event featuring the likes of Jack Swagger, Ryback, and Emma next week, he's now been suddenly pulled from that show.

As you can see below, they claim that Mysterio's "upcoming contractual situation with WWE" is what has led to his non-appearance, something which points to him returning to the company soon.

After all, there's no reason why WWE would stop him showing up for what could be counted as a pretty tiny show if he's not under contract with them. Something must have happened to change Mysterio's situation and the company clearly wants him available so don't be surprised if he makes his return after SummerSlam at either RAW or SmackDown Live (I'm betting on the latter, personally).
