According to a report from PW Insider, Rhea Ripley is likely to be off NXT programming for a while.
She had to return to Australia this week because her Visa was about to expire, and given current travel restrictions, it could be a while before she's able to return to the United States. This process often takes a while too, so she's likely going to miss upcoming taping for NXT which are expected to take place over the next week or so.
At WrestleMania on Sunday night, Ripley and Charlotte Flair opened the show with a great match which saw The Queen make her tap out to become the new NXT Women's Champion. She's expected to appear on this week's NXT with the title, and tonight's episode will also feature a six-woman Ladder match to crown the new #1 contender.
Competing in that will be Io Shirai, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Chelsea Green, and Candice LeRae.
Ripley certainly made an impact at the Show of Shows, so we're definitely hopeful that she will be back on TV sooner rather than later. As of right now, though, things are extremely uncertain for WWE, and they're already looking at taping several episodes of all their shows in one go as we mentioned above.
