WWE's Rhea Ripley has taken to Twitter to call out overzealous fans who hound her for autographs at the airport, and Mami is not very happy!
In her Tweet, The Eradicator makes it very clear that she will not be signing "anything that isn’t a personal photo of us anymore," and she does not care how anyone happens to feel about it.
“People need to respect that no means no! At airports do not follow me outside. Today has put me off completely! I will not sign ANYTHING that isn’t a personal photo of us anymore. Hate me, I don’t care. Disagree with me, try putting yourselves in our shoes for one bloody day.”
Ripley is far from the only wrestler to have these type of negative experiences recently, with a maskless Rey Mysterio being mobbed by a group of fans, and other female Superstars complaining about being followed when they drive away from airports and hotels.
PW Insider reached out to their sources at WWE, and shared the following update.
“We are told by a few talents that if it’s one fan looking for a selfie or a signed 8×10, they normally don’t mind, but over the last year since the company has returned to touring post-pandemic, WWE talents are more likely to be besieged by large groups of fans waiting at baggage claim areas or hotel lobbies, all trying to get multiple items signed – and that the Rey situation just proves a line has to be drawn in the sand before there’s a more potentially dangerous incident.”
