Ric Flair Says Vince McMahon Stopped Him From Getting Physical At CROWN JEWEL In Saudi Arabia

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has revealed that he wanted to get physical at the recent Crown Jewel PPV but it was WWE Chairman Vince McMahon who put his foot down and stopped that from happening...

Heading into Crown Jewel, Ric Flair made it clear that he wanted to get his hands on Hulk Hogan and it sounded like he had been medically cleared to compete. Now, he's revealed that he was was pushing to either get attacked by Roman Reigns or to make Hulk Hogan tap out. However, Vince McMahon decided that couldn't happen.

"I got cleared medically to do something in Saudi and then Vince nixed it," he reveals. "If I would have fed Roman in that huge comeback he made, or tapped Hogan, that would have been the coup de gras. You just wanna give them everything they paid for and sometimes if you’re not physically involved, you feel like you’re not giving everything you had if you’re not physical."

However, while Flair has been cleared, he has no plans to wrestle a full match. "Yes… well, no, not wrestle a match. I could get knocked down. Could I wrestle a match? Yes… but I couldn’t because it would take me so long to get in that kind of shape. But I could be involved in a spot or take a bump."

It would have been fun to see a spot like this at Crown Jewel but it's easy to see why Vince decided against this. For starters, Flair could have dropped dead after getting physical given his recent health problems, while Reigns taking down the elderly Hall of Famer likely wouldn't have done The Big Dog any favours in the long run!
