Since leaving WWE, Ric Flair has courted controversy on multiple occasions. He's been the subject of an unflattering episode of Dark Side of the Ring, torn into WWE President Nick Khan, and blasted WWE for continuing to refer to RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch as "The Man" (a trademark Flair insists he still owns despite it being separate to his classic catchphrase).
Now, the Nature Boy has taken aim at AEW star Chris Jericho after a Bleacher Report article described Le Champion as the "Current GOAT" (Greatest Of All Time) of professional wrestling.
The ranting would continue in a now-deleted Tweet which saw Flair, for seemingly no reason, vent some of his frustrations over WWE using "The Man" on television on Lynch herself.
"The Mood Is Night & Day! One’s Real & One’s Make Believe!" the WWE Hall of Famer exclaimed. "She’s Big Time, But There’s No Drip, And There Never Will Be! And I Thought She Was THE MAN, But I Guess Not Because They Don’t Own It! HA! When Are You Going To Give Up @BeckyLynchWWE? You’re So Far Behind! WOOOOO!"
While we'd like to put this down to Flair just promoting his podcast, there's no mention of it in these Tweets, so who knows what the deal is. He certainly knows how to make headlines, anyway. As always, we'll be sure to let you know if Flair decides to drop any more unexpected rants on Twitter.
