We (thankfully) have some good news for fans of The Nature Boy today as Ric Flair's recent heart surgery went well. According to his wife Wendy Barlow, "Doctors said the procedure was a success" and she added that they're optimistic about him now making a full recovery.
On Thursday, TMZ broke the news that Flair had been rushed to the hospital and things were looking bleak for a while.
However, while Flair has now pulled out of his roast at Starrcast II in Last Vegas, it seems as if he'll be recovering from his surgery for a while now and the issues stem from the hard partying and tough life of a wrestler he endured throughout the 1970s and 1980s rather than anything new which will cause major health problems moving forward.
We'll hopefully have more details for you soon but this is a positive update and one that bodes well for him moving forward.
