Earlier this week, it was reported that Kacy Catanzaro had handed in her notice to WWE officials, but now it appears that the rumor is completely false.

It was first reported by Dave Meltzer that the NXT Superstar had not told NXT officials that she quit the company and is indeed still working the developmental brand; however, the wrestling journalist does note that there is some “smoke to the story” as Catanzaro had been talking about leaving the company previously.

Catanzaro's real-life boyfriend Ricochet confirmed that the female athlete is still with the company during an interview with Sports Illustrated by stating, “She’s still with the company. She’s not retired at all and she’s not injured. It’s a tough sport and we’re all hurting, but there is nothing wrong with her.”

However, like Meltzer reported, there does appear to be a question mark over Catanzaro's future with the promotion, which apparently stems from the NXT Talent wanting a family:

“I don’t know. She’s very family-oriented and she wants kids, so she doesn’t know if being on the road so much is for her. For me, I’m already too deep—I’m on the road all the time. She loves wrestling and she loves it here, and she’s so good at it, so it’s a very tough decision for her.”

So while reports of Kacy leaving the company are false, it does sound like the NXT star could be making her exit sometime soon. As always, we’ll keep you updated on story should more news comes out.
