With Super ShowDown fast approaching, WWE decided to find a new challenger for Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship during last night's RAW with a Triple Threat match pitting Seth Rollins vs. Ricochet vs. Bobby Lashley. The winner would go on to face The Beast at Super ShowDown.
It was a competitive match which saw Ricochet ultimately pick up the win after hitting his patented 630 Splash on Lashley for the 1-2-3. As much as fans still want to see a Lashley vs. Lesnar match, this made sense, especially after what's happened between the champion and Ricochet on both RAW and at the Royal Rumble in recent weeks.
Of course, Ricochet didn't get much time to celebrate because Lesnar immediately hit the ring and took his Super ShowDown opponent out with an F5. It's hard to imagine The Beast losing the title later this month, of course, but it should still be a phenomenal match.
