Ricochet Forced To Delete Tweet Saying He's Better Than Io Shirai After Backlash From WWE Fans

It's no secret that Ricochet is one of WWE's most talented and underutilized Superstars, but if he's beginning to develop a chip on his shoulder...well, it's not a good look for the former United States Champion.

Recently, WWE shared a post asking fans to choose their favourite high-flyer in the company and Ricochet was quick to single himself out (no one can blame him for being confident in his abilities). However, when fans started to reply by pointing out there are, in fact, plenty of other wrestlers who can do what he does, things took a turn for the worse.

It was when NXT Superstar Io Shirai's name was brought up that Ricochet responded with, "I’m not saying she’s not amazing. She 100% is. But I can do EVERYTHING she can, probably even better. She can’t do what I am capable of, maybe not even half."

A huge amount of fan backlash followed, and while we don't think Ricochet meant anything by his comments, the way he phrased it really isn't the best. As a result, the RAW Superstar deleted his post, though Shirai has yet to weigh in with her take on his opinion about her skills.
