According to Dave Meltzer, Ring of Honor is hoping to book CM Punk for their show in Madison Square Garden later this year. While it seems like a long shot given his feelings on pro wrestling, feelers have been sent out to him and we do know that Matt Jackson is one of the few people within the industry that the former WWE Champion has remained in contact with over the past few years.
Recently, Punk's UFC career came to an abrupt end after yet another loss and Dana White made it clear that while he's free to fight elsewhere, he won't be having another bout in the octagon.
There has to be a chance that Punk would be at least intrigued by the prospect of headlining this MSG show for Ring of Honor, especially as he recently revealed that he's never actually been offered anything concrete regarding a return to wrestling. However, he's made his feelings about wrestling quite clear so the chances of him saying yes could be slim. For now, we'll just have to wait and see.
