On RAW, Rob Van Dam made a surprise appearance alongside Kurt Angle, Sgt. Slaughter, and The Hurricane for a confrontation with Sami Zayn. There had been speculation all day on Monday that he might appear, especially after it was revealed that WWE was selling foam "RVD" hands at the arena.

Well, as you may or may not know, RVD is currently working for IMPACT Wrestling and was part of the Slammiversary PPV earlier this month when he squared off with Moose.

Wrestling Inc. reached out to the company for clarification on his status and received the following response: "RVD appeared on RAW with our blessing. We were approached about it and didn't see why we would have any problem with it."

RVD reportedly remains under contract to IMPACT until after the Bound for Glory PPV this October, so it remains to be seen whether WWE would be interested in him returning.
