In a bid to combat declining ratings, WWE introduced a "Wild Card" rule that would allow a number of
RAW Superstars to appear on
SmackDown Live and vice versa. That's expected to be the new status quo moving forward (including when the blue brand moves to FOX) but what sort of impact is it having on Superstars?
Well, as the company's top star, Roman Reigns has been appearing on both brands and reveals in a new interview that it's been a challenging process.
"It’s not easy," he explains. "It’s tough work. It takes special people to do this kind of stuff. I’m cut from a different fabric. I’ve always been someone who can handle this type of workload. To be honest, I feel good. We’re all human and we all want to feel needed. If I’m here to help the team and that’s my role, then that’s what I’m going to do."
"I was out so I wanted to get back and help the team," he added, referring to his battle with cancer. "So if that’s what’s needed out of me I’ll do everything to the best of my ability to get the job done."
Reigns is clearly embracing his role as WWE's new John Cena and he deserves a lot of credit for that. What do you guys think about these comments?
